this evening at mythe pool the neck an head was bitten clean off by otter this was witnessed by nick who lives on caravan park who is in the baa he pulled the swan onto the bank he states he totally shocked by what he saw said was like something out off a horror film something needs to be done perhaps otter fenceing needs to be erected

Very sad news indeed ! Something needs to be done, If it is left to otters, Mythe will end up like Walcott . Yes it should be fenced (Any lake with fish stocks needs be protected against otters now days), but as everytime i visit mythe the gate is left wide open, so i doubt this would work, or be funded

If there were many carp left in Mythe Mr Otter will clear these out first.
