There I was, sat waiting ...... about 4 hours into the session I pulled out this Carp.My thanks to S. Faizey for taking the picture! It weighed in at 19lb 13oz.

did you target carp or just after anything that may swim along ?

I was after anything - I usually put a small bait on one rod and a big 'un on the other. This one took the latter and woke me up a bit! I definitely wasn't expecting to catch a carp - I hadn't fished there before so it was really a bit of a try-out. Didn't quite beat my PB but its a good second best - and the first ever river carp I've bagged, so was well pleased.

Nice one mate Fully scaled mirror too, looks like an old warrior. One river carp is worth ten in the lake as the saying goes, or something like that
