Re: Weed

I stand to be corrected but I believe the sewage discharges are not the cause of the weed loss, it is as mentioned earlier in this thread a combination of the floods and farming produced phosphates.

Re: Litter

Sadly a problem in all walks of society and it's growing year on year.

Filthy lazy tramps leave litter, pick it up and take it home or find a bin, how hard can it be?

Re: Great platforms, but!

The solution to losing stuff through a platform is simple, just place a cheap unhooking mat under your feet where you sit as most dropped things land there.

Re: River venues car parking

This is worrying, the fear factor that this is causing. I live in an area where covid was rife yet don't know anyone who knows anyone who died. I really hope the good people of Arley open up to the outside world as it would be sad if we couldn't go fishing, whilst at the same time it's ok to go into London and riot.

Re: Float fishing on the river

Remember if you do see someone else float fishing don't fall over in shock as it's likely almost everyone will be out on a lead, also canoiests will come by if you are wading all confused that they cannot see your line, it's often best to just let them know they are fine to go by, I've caught big roach and plenty of barbel just as the boats have gone through so the fish don't mind.

Anywhere between Bridgnorth and Bewdley is trotting heaven although as others have stated it can involve a bit of walking sometimes, but what a place to be walking and fishing, The holiday areas sometimes get numpties who will fish directly opposite you despite there being plenty of swims so avoid these areas during silly season. Don't be put off by really shallow swims

Blackstone to Stourport and the lower reaches are also really good but fish better when there's some extra water coming down imo
