Halesowen RBL club match on the Staffs canal at Swindon and Hinksford 14/4/24

A really hard match again with fish in spawning mode, especially the perch. Not one boat through all match which probably means there's a lock closed somewhere.

1st Lawrie Mulheron 3 - 1 - 0 ( Pegged on the boats at Hinksford, Lawrie managed to land a couple of skimmers plus perch on pole fished maggot )

2nd Kevin Clark 1 - 11 - 0

3rd Brian Smith 1 - 7 - 8

4th Sean Waite 1 - 6 - 0

Halesowen RBL match on the B'ham / Worcs canal at Hanbury 24/03/24

A really difficult match pegged on the reeds section, lots struggled and rafts of floating debris didn't help matters. In hindsight, perhaps the other side of the bridge on the boats was a better bet. Small roach made up most of the catches.

1st John Billingham 2 - 0 - 8 ( John pole fished bread punch for an all roach catch )

2nd Kevin Clark 1 - 4 - 8

3rd Lawrie Mulheron 1 - 4 - 0

4th Jon Baker 0 - 9 - 0

5th Geoff Garrish 0- 7 - 12

Told you it fished hard !!

Re: Cradley Heath Labour AC club match result. Staffs / Worcs canal at Stewponey. 17/03/24

Daveb, pegged from the boats above the lock to past the aquaduct over the Stour, missing the narrows out on the sandstone.

Re: Eagle & Sun

Bin, I bet none of those ladies with paddleboards had a permit to use the paddleboards on any CRT water. According to the CRT rules / regs / laws, any craft be it a kayak, canoe, paddleboard or a boat of any description requires a permit / licence. Have a look on their website.
