Re: Pershore RB

Fished there last week. Nice mixed bag of small silvers on stick float with bronze maggot. Switched to a waggled & sweetcorn and caught a nice few chublets. Died when an otter bellyflopped off the top of the far bank into the river!

Mythe Pool

Yesterday had a nice mixed bag of Tench, Bream, Perch, Rudd & Eels at Mythe Pool.
Some of the Tench were around 1-2 lb. Does this show a healthy breeding stock producing these young fish?
The eels were about the same weight. Is this an indication that Eels are making a recovery ?

Re: 2022 - What I would like it to bring, is more fishing feedback be it good or bad to help us all!

Good idea Reg. I carry a slasher too. Cleared 3 swims at Pensham. For the record, had some clonking Bream there but could only ever catch 1 or 2 in a session.

Hard to see

I use an iPhone and find the forum pages difficult to to write on, and impossible to add photos. as I can only see part of the page. Is it just me?

Try to do do the right thing!

Due to recent weather & river conditions, I deliberately chose not to fish for Barbel. I set out with traditional Bream baits to fish the Avon near Pershore. A medium feeder rod, 16 hooks fishing worms & casters were order of the day. I caught some nicePerch but no Bream. Then the tip gently eased round, and all of a sudden my feeder was 50 yards downstream! A cracking double figure Barbel was difficult to fit in the landing net. That’s why we love rivers!smiling
