Re: To celebrate the 1st anniversary of BAA Forum D'Angling

That was a well deserved reward Stew. 5 hours bite less on a leisure outing, I would have been in the Lock Inn (pub) not literally, after about 3 hours. Good to hear the odd chub or maybe more are still present along here.

Nice net of Perch from your latest Wolverley visit. Did you target the stripeys Stu? or was it just what you happened to catch? Also, any chub from this section lately. I remember from our matches going back a while now the top catches always had a decent chub or two. Thanks...see you on saturday.

Re: b.a.a.forum d’anglers AC - Issac Walton Plate - Winner of the 2023 Contests Aggergate

Congratulations to Charlie, most consistent angler over the series. Well done and thanks to everyone that attended. Looking forwards to the 2024 gatherings and hopefully a few new faces. With a lot of clubs struggling for members, our average of around 16 is pretty decent.

Hello Stu, yes, i'm good with that. I'll get there a little earlier to meet with Bin so we are ready for that 08:30 draw. Cheers.

Re: b.a.a. forum d’anglers AC - Contest #5 B-W Canal Br42-43 on Saturday 11th November - updated 30/10

I'm also checking in to fish this final match thanks Reg. I do take Bins point regards the limited parking and moored boats. However, I have fished plenty of matches on section 41 - 42 and to miss this out completely would be a mistake in my opinion. There are some great pegs mid way along that length, opposite the houses, with plenty of cover to fish across to. September last year there were some massive canal weights including an 100lb plus catch of bream. If you search back to that date you can see the impressive bags in a 60 person turn out I believe. I am not sure if you walked 42 - 43 but this side is also lacking in features after bridge 42 and there is a new housing development behind much of that section. Anyhow, hopefully we find a few more fish than our last couple of canal outings.
