Salmon at weirs

Dear Angling club,

Recently salmon jumping at weirs in the River Severn has been highly publicised.  We have been receiving a lot of questions about why the salmon are jumping, where they have come from and where they are going. Due to this I’ve put together an information sheet which aims to answer the most common questions we have received.

Please find this information sheet attached which you, members of your club, anglers who use your water, or your staff and customers may find of interest. We would be grateful if you would pass this on or otherwise make this available to anyone who would find it of interest.

If you or anyone else would like advice or more information about any issues raised, please ask them to contact us (enquiries@environment-agency.gov.uk or 03708 506 506).
