Blackstone ruts

Further to the news item posted back in June this year (copied below), there has been a couple of anglers vehicles that have got stuck in the field at Blackstone recently due to the ruts in the field getting worse. As before to avoid this happening we suggest that you park your vehicle in the parking area at the start of the field or leave it close to the end of the track (without obstructing it) and walk the remaining distance to your chosen peg.

Past the end of the recently surfaced track along the river bank at Blackstone, the ruts have become very deep.

Due to the length of the grass it is difficult to see the ruts making driving along the bank difficult, even in a 4x4 with good ground clearance.

If you plan to fish the downstream end of Blackstone, it may be a good idea to leave your vehicle close to the end of the track (without obstructing it) and walk the remaining distance to your chosen peg.
