On a recent trip to Nordly Pool 2 it could be clearly seen the the carp were showing in the middle as well as down the sides. Having noticed this I decided to fish the middle while my mate concentrated his efforts to the sides, we baited up with a number of different particle baits and fished with a variety of different boilies with small pva bags of pellet. During the most hectic 8 hours of fishing either of us have ever experienced we continued to land a carp all day. We eventually ran out of bait when we had reached 33 carp, 21 of these from the middle and 12 from the side (we also lost another 6 fish throughout the day due to hook pulls). Altoghether the carp weighed 262lb. The pictures show some of our biggest captures in the day, myself Tom Millward with a 22lb 2oz mirror and my best mate Phil Davies with the 21lb 8oz mirror. We also landed another 3 fish over the 15lb mark. This trip is definetly one that will live long in the memory for both of us. (see us on the bank and we may share our secrets!!!).

Cheers Tom & Phil.
