Martin Pears from Bournmouth travelled up from his home to fish the Avon at Pershore, and was rewarded with this fish of 11lb. 5oz. He took the fish, along with another of over 10lbs. from a swim just upstream of the old bridge. Both fish fell to pellet bait fished on a hair rig. Martin, who is a member of the Barbel Society said "This is even better than fishing the Hampshire Avon - and a heck of a lot cheaper."
