DESCRIPTION

Good access makes this section of the Avon a firm favourite. Depths vary from 10 feet to 3 feet with Chub, Roach, Dace, Bream, Tench & Barbel all present. Night fishing is allowed at Marcliff subject to a special permit. For details contact the BAA office.

APPROACHES

Bidford (left bank): cross river bridge and park on immediate right in recreation ground. A fee is payable.
Marcliff: At Bidford, cross the river bridge taking first right (signposted Marcliff) turning right in the village and then left down track to riverside. Park at waterside or in BAA car park. This access can also be used to reach Bidford.
Special Regulation: The weir island at Marcliff is in the “B” section.
