Re: Electrofishing the Birmingham Worcester canalAs far as I’m aware it was just Diglis marina that they removed fish.BAA waters don’t start until Blackpole.

Re: Electrofishing the Birmingham Worcester canalTo be honest I’m not entirely sure.I know that fishing isn’t allowed in Diglis marina so maybe they are having trouble with people fishing there?Obviously as soon as any Zander are removed they have to be destroyed or moved to a water that passes strict criteria. The other fish that were removed were moved onto another clubs water from what I’ve heard.Complete waste of time and money if you ask me,but as far as I’m aware no BAA waters had any fish removed.

Re: Electrofishing the Birmingham Worcester canalI have been told by CRT that no native fish were or will be removed during this.Zander aren’t native and are removed.Don’t shoot the messenger I’m just relaying the info I was told.No native coarse fish would be moved or removed without consultation from the controlling club.

Re: Electrofishing the Birmingham Worcester canalI thought none of the BAA bits were going to get electro fished . ??? out of order if they have .I love that bit of canal . one of the reasons why I join the BAA ..might think twice if this is true next year.

Re: Electrofishing the Birmingham Worcester canalSurely it makes more sense that as members we lobby our club and then they contact the CRT on our behalf, one strong voice as opposed to many whispers?

Re: Electrofishing the Birmingham Worcester canalNative fish have been removed from the canal. When Diglis was netted the Blackpole section (BAA and WDUAA) was netted at the same time. Were BAA informed? Bream and roach were seen to be removed - no idea where they were taken. Basically fish theft?

Re: Electrofishing the Birmingham Worcester canalWe (GirlingAS) fished Blackpole last Saturday (4th April 2021) and we all struggled, only a few bits were caught. We have Tibberton this Saturday (27/4/2021).

Re: Electrofishing the Birmingham Worcester canalFrank...I have been in contact with CRT following the reports of fish being removed from our club waters. They have insisted that no native fish were removed during the electro fishing nor would they be without consultations with the controlling clubs.I am yet to see any video/photographic evidence of any native species being removed,I would of thought in this day and age that anyone witnessing this would gather evidence as most carry a mobile phone with a camera on?
