Good evening all. I am looking to do quite a few pike sessions this winter on the hunt for the elusive 20lber. I managed one from the Severn many years ago but not had anything close since. Where would people recommend m. I know giving away spots is a lot to ask but a push in the right direction regarding stretches would be most helpful.

Re: 20lb pike

The Lower Severn did a 30lb last weekend, so that might be worth a punt. Dunno about the middle, but I had one at 16.4 a few months ago whilst barbel fishing. I'm not a predator angler though.

Hi Matt
Try the stretch on the Avon at Lower Moor
I was pestered by them when I fished there in the Summer they were attacking my net!
Good luck and

Keep on Fishing

I’m going to say Stacklands. I have been fishing / walking that stretch of water since the mid sixties and I have seen some monsters in that stretch. Some on the opposite bank to the BAA stretch. My dads saw one easily I. excess of 20 lb and I have seen a few 15lb and over.
