Can anyone give me update information on the Eardington stretch. doesn't seem to be any posts since 2016. Is it worth a visit and what is accessibility re pegs?
Thanks

Re: Eardington

Very popular stretch, especially the downstream section. Car park can get full but fits a fair few cars. Access is good, bit of a walk you might say but all flat and not demanding for most. Pegs will be clear as they're fished so frequently.

When I go i tend to go really early and try to be off before it gets busy. Also avoid the bloody canoes that way.

Plenty of alternative stretches near by so if it is a bit busy you have good back ups.

I’ve had some quality roach up to 2 lb from there this season,6/8mm pellets with a pellet feeder, all the best

Yes there are lots of nice roach coming out from most stretches, for those who fish for them. They've made a bit of a comeback the last few years. All the usual ways of catching them work, but a good way to fish for them is with tiny bits of meat on a 16. You pick the better roach out and will still get the chub and even barbel if they're there.
