Hi Lads

Just to let you know that my wife was most impressed when I got home tonight, not with my angling achievement but with Reg's plate (lol).
I've lodged it in an alcove where it will come to no harm and every time my wife answers HER phone (no one rings to talk to me these days) it'll reminder her that my fishing exploits do have rewards and are not a total waste of DIY time.

It really was lovely to meet you all todaysmiling

Re: match day on the staffs/worc

Thanks again for organising - great day and good to put some names to faces. Trying to put a positive spin on things, told my wife, family and friends that I had managed a top ten finish (just) in a major fishing comp attracting some of the greatest talents from all over the Midlands. Sounds better than 3 poxy fish for 4oz and a near last place.

Re: match day on the staffs/worc

Well done for your efforts, sticking with it and eventually getting the match to take place.
Great to see the photos of the catches in the weighing sling.
Nice one Reg for the kind thought of taking the time to purchase and mount the plate.
A nice touch for representatives of the BAA to attend and help with the event taking place.
Lets hope next year a similar event with the same mindset.
Nice photos...
A round of applause to all who took part and help organise it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who setup and organised this event. I had a great day out as did everyone else.

As soon as I got out my car and meet my fellow D'Anglers I knew I was in good company. Thank you for your hospitality, friendship and conversation.

I also learned something on Saturday, regardless of size or quantity, don't doubt yourself and always weigh in.

I'm now looking for the next one.

Re: match day on the staffs/worc

Hi Al,
I fully concur with your comments as it was a friendly get together that I am glad that carlingford59 pulled together so successfully.

It was also made special by the attendance at the Weigh In of Ian Rees, BAA President and Craig Williams, BAA Fisheries Manager, who also took and shared those photos of the Forum D’anglers Catches.

I did not realise that one small Roach would put such a big smile on my face, what a great day shared in good company, here’s to the next time.

Keep on Fishing….

Had I been paying more attention to the forum recently, I might have popped along - I only live up the road.
Glad you all had a good day.

Hi Kent

It's not over yet, that was just the start.
.
Read Carlingfors59's latest post above this one and you can put your name down for our next Great Days Out, which may be sooner rather than later if we get enough members to join us.

Nice to hear from you again on behalf of us all.

Re: match day on the staffs/worc - cheers to carlingford59

Hi KenL,
Sorry that you missed out on the chance of Winning the Issac Walton Plate!
However
If you contact carlingford59 you can become a member of the BAA Forum D’anglers Club, or whatever name carlingford59 wants to call it, my better half liked the name “BAA Humbugs”, as the contest was originally due to be fished before Christmas!
Anyway
We are a crackpot group of friendly like minded scallywag fishermen that had a thoroughly good time, before, during and after the inaugural Issac Walton Contest.

So come and join us and

Keep on Fishing….
