Please could somebody help. I was going to fish Mythe Pool for the 1st time on Sunday but have noticed a match is due to take place. It states all contest pegs, does this mean the lake is shut or can I still fish the river side pegs.
Also having never fished it before are the river side pegs accessible and weed free and worth fishing. Thanks in advance

Re: mythe pool

I’ve got a match there this Sunday and as far as I’m aware we only have booked the match pegs ...it states the rest of the venue is open to pleasure fishing...as for the accessibility or if it’s fishable I personally have no idea , as I’ve never been before. I have no objection too other Angler’s being on the same venue I wish you the best of luck ......maybe someone who as been down there can shine some light on it........

Hi
Fished there today got there about 11-00 never had a bite for 3 hours then the odd bream but from 5-7it fished really well so it might be better after the contest. Also most of the bites came from casting to the far side, good luck.

Thanks for the information, Having never seen the venue can you fish weed free from the bank you cast to as I can only make a morning session.

Re: mythe pool

It was only the 2nd time I’ve been there but other members I spoke to say the pegs near the middle of the pool are less weedy than the end of the pool I didn’t have many problems
