My first visit to severn stoke this week. I will be after Bream so could anybody please advise whether to fish upstream or downstream of the car park.

Hi Tippers,
Type Severn Stoke into the “Search” box and it will display every mention of Severn Stoke from Forum messages.

On the 2nd page about half way down the Page you will see a message that I posted Last November Titled Ben Keen’s Fabulous Mixed Catch from Severn Stoke, it includes the photo montage of the fish caught!

I hope you do as well as Ben, Tight Lines

Keep on Fishing

cheers for the reply. I have seen Bens post and what a great catch it was. But which bit of the stretch he did not say. All I really wanted to know was, is the deeper water upstream or downstream of the car park.

Bream all along the stretch, cant say for certain where would be best for you, best to find a peg that will be comfy, which is not always the case at SS. For what you intend to catch I would go upstream to the end of the first field, I dont target Bream but I do know you can do well there, seen some good match weights taken.

Thanks for that, that gives me at least a fighting chance. I hope the pegs aren't too steep the chap i'm going with isn't the most mobile.

In that case , if you can there is an easy access peg in the car park, it is a double so would accommodate two anglers. It used to be where barges moored and a big drop off, and with the river so low make sure you have a long handle for the net. You can park adjacent.
Keep the feed going in mid river and hopefully the Bream should come to you...good luck.
