My first visit to severn stoke this week. I will be after Bream so could anybody please advise whether to fish upstream or downstream of the car park.

Re: severn stokecheers for the reply. I have seen Bens post and what a great catch it was. But which bit of the stretch he did not say. All I really wanted to know was, is the deeper water upstream or downstream of the car park.

Re: severn stokeBream all along the stretch, cant say for certain where would be best for you, best to find a peg that will be comfy, which is not always the case at SS. For what you intend to catch I would go upstream to the end of the first field, I dont target Bream but I do know you can do well there, seen some good match weights taken.

Re: severn stokeThanks for that, that gives me at least a fighting chance. I hope the pegs aren't too steep the chap i'm going with isn't the most mobile.

Re: severn stokeIn that case , if you can there is an easy access peg in the car park, it is a double so would accommodate two anglers. It used to be where barges moored and a big drop off, and with the river so low make sure you have a long handle for the net. You can park adjacent.
