hi guys
new to the BAA and was looking at fishing uckinghall for the predators. does the pool and parking get affected by any flood water as i understand from the maps it right by the Severn.
is there one end deeper than the other etc any information on the pool would be great as its a 120mile round trip for me and looking to go early next week. Thanks guys

With the river at it's current and projected level, you should be fine. Not sure how much residual mud is likely to be around though.
I've not fished it in years but my last winter session with lures and deadbaits was soul destroying - especially as there were a couple of guys catching well on livebaits.

I'm new to the club but thought live baiting was against the bylaws. Is this the case at Uckinghall as well?

Yes live baiting is not allowed on any BAA water.

Worms and maggots are "live bait" and if you have a problem with sticking hooks in fish, perhaps angling isn't for you.
Nonetheless, my mate and I were fishing (more like wasting out time) with deadbaits and lures while another group of angers caught consistently through the day with livebaits.

“Perhaps angling isn’t for me?” Ha ha ha ha,what because I’ve advised somebody on the BAA bylaw of no live baiting? It’s not my personal recommendation.
