Re: Aberbechan Upper SevernChub, dace, grayling and trout mainly (and salmon parr). River needs a bit of colour to fish absolutely at its best. Very pretty stretch of river. Tight lines if you give it a go.

Re: Aberbechan Upper SevernThere is a gage on the river there that is very handy. It can be accessed through the NRW website or if you're on a mobile, through the excellent "RiverApp" survice that lets you view the river level data for anything from the last 24 hour to the last three months.

Re: Aberbechan Upper SevernHi if you are out that way forden might be worth a try I haven't been there for a while but I once caught five chub for 32lb we used to catch plenty of grayling and trout mainly on maggots but occasionally on the fly also the scenery is fabulous

Re: Aberbechan Upper SevernHi we had a caravan for 33 years a few miles away from forden on that day I caught 29 chub the biggest was 6_9 my brother was with me he weighed them that was before fishing forums and telling everyone what you were catching and where you where catching them from but days like that stay with you forever I went back there 3 year's ago caught 15 grayling and trod on a snake
