Yes I realise that in the "rules" is states no fishing without a licence, but surely once you have paid then you become a member straight away?? In this day and age bank transfer of money is direct and with the use of the internet, mobile phones, paypal, etc etc...its very easy to prove a purchase online. We are in 21st century lads!!!
As for knowing if he was actually a BAA bailiff, well, the only people who would know for sure going on the descriptions given in the online post would be the Association themselves. This is a BAD situation. Was even talks of retaliation on the thread.
Fortunately most of my river fishing is done on the Upper Severn around Welshpool. The Bailiff there is one of the nicest blokes I've met in fishing. Mike and his wife Ann are a credit to the association. Have even offered to meet up and show my around the miles and miles of upper severn water available to me.
