Hi any more news on Bidford Bridge and when it will open. was heading to Bidford on Thursday from the south, the 2 roads i know of to access from the south were both closed for road works and with the bridge closed couldnt work out how to get to Bidford left bank or Marlclif without a massive detour, Everywhere i go lately are roads closed for repair. in recent weeks, m4 closed, a45 closed a46 closed m3 closed as well as a lot of smaller roads

Re: bidford bridge

I fished Barton on Thursday. There is a diversion around the bridge which adds about 10 minutes to the journey but it was well worth it. One of the locals told me that the bridge is a Grade One listed standing so they are having to fish the original stones from the river to put them back as they were. He reckons it would be another couple of months. Out of interest I had a great day with about 12lb mixed bag but mostly perch (see attached).
