Re: Common road

Hi Rick
I have not fished it but seeing that you have not had a reply to your question I have looked on Google Earth and it looks a nice flat venue.

In the BAA Guide to Waters 2021 page 14 Avon, Evesham (Common Road) and Swift’s Water.

Get on to Common Road and then go under the railway bridge.
it looks like a good roadway as it leads to a scrap yard but after that you can’t tell what the track up to the car park is like, you would like to think that it is good and that the par park is also good at this time of year but I can’t say.

Give it a go and let us know how you get on!

Keep on Fishing

Re: Common road

Apologies for late response. Make sure that you check the gate access instructions on the BAA “ where to fish site”. The padlock does look daunting but it does work.
Contractors are working on the Railway bridge on the Evesham & District waters and they have been using big plant up and down the track.
They have filled in the pot holes and cleared the over hanging hedge so the track is now car friendly. The BAA car park needs a little work but It is OK.
It is a bit of a struggle with a Trolly through the old kissing gate (erosion from flood run off) The Local Ramblers Association have had the Board walk replaced with a foot bridge at the end.
It is then a flat walk all the way along the river bank.
Waters are good for Roach, Bream and big Pike.
Hope you have a good session.smiling
