Eckington Stone Bridge Section

I had a pleasant walk around the River Avon at Eckington this morning. I was very disappointed to see that the BAA section from Stone Bridge towards Birlingham was overgrown and neglected.
I can accept that summer is growing season but there was no chance of accessing hardly any pegs which also appeared to have no wooden platforms.
For a club the size of BAA and as a paid up member, I find this is very poor. Is it a question of having too much water to maintain or the fact that it is so far south of Birmingham, nobody can maintain it.
The other side of the bridge is owned by Eckington AC, a much smaller club, was well presented with clearly defined and maintained pegs with wooden platforms.
Is there any plans to look at improving this section?

I have joined Eckington AC this season, and yes the pegs are superb, well maintained, Eckington AA is popular with match anglers, some huge catches of Bream have been had in the past, and I believe one angler held the record for a National.

The BAA only build platforms on waters where they own the fishing rights.
Common sense really!
Putting platforms on a rented water is not a good idea as waters can be lost, so the cost and the effort of building the platforms is wasted.
Lease comes to an end, fall-out with land owner etc, etc.

Its been difficult for the work team this season to clear all pegs, remember lockdown has played a major part in this so the chaps have been trying to catch up. Met the them down Knowle Sands last week, with the small team they have i think they do well.

Considering the work party is voluntary I don't think we can moan too much, maybe the baa needs more volunteers or take some tools and get prepared to get stung!
