I had a pleasant walk around the River Avon at Eckington this morning. I was very disappointed to see that the BAA section from Stone Bridge towards Birlingham was overgrown and neglected.

Re: Eckington Stone Bridge SectionI have joined Eckington AC this season, and yes the pegs are superb, well maintained, Eckington AA is popular with match anglers, some huge catches of Bream have been had in the past, and I believe one angler held the record for a National.

Re: Eckington Stone Bridge SectionThe BAA only build platforms on waters where they own the fishing rights.

Re: Eckington Stone Bridge SectionIts been difficult for the work team this season to clear all pegs, remember lockdown has played a major part in this so the chaps have been trying to catch up. Met the them down Knowle Sands last week, with the small team they have i think they do well.

Re: Eckington Stone Bridge SectionConsidering the work party is voluntary I don't think we can moan too much, maybe the baa needs more volunteers or take some tools and get prepared to get stung!
