Fantasy fishing this weekend?

So we can't go fishing this long Easter weekend and it looks like we're getting some great weather, at least for Friday and Saturday.

So I was having a bit of fun thinking where I might be going if not in lockdown.

With rivers out of bounds no matter what, reckon I'd but having an early start and heading for either Uckinghall or Mythe for some tench and bream fishing. Maybe even both if I could get a 2 day pass from the wife.

If not maybe a session on the cut, I used to fish Hanbury a lot and not been there for ages.

Looks like I'll be working in the garden instead, at this rate we'll have a show garden!

Where would everyone else be off to if allowed?

Seems not everyone is obeying the advice, I've seen 6 or 7 anglers fishing this last few days whilst on my daily walk along the stourbridge canal, I know it's not baa water but it's probably common all over the country, I did remind the anglers in question some people have no respect.

Agree Stu, few about on the Black Country canals.
I’ll stick to flicking a line over the fence into next doors pond, bit of a nightmare try to land his biggest goldfish though.

I know this has nothing to do with the original thread, but every time I walk the dog at the Canal@ the moment I come back with a bag full of plastic bottles mainly picked of the towpath and sometimes in the water, noticed a lot more cyclists using the canal since the lockdown, nice to see some nice Rudd swimming about this morning on the staffs/worc.

Too be honest lads if this is a fantasy fishing weekend I don’t think you lot are stretching you imagination to its full extent....when I think fantasy the last thing on my mind is the staffs and Worcester canal or uckinghall pool.....I personally would like to be sitting on a beach in Honolulu drinking Tennants super with a naked Filipino prostitute massaging coco butter into my chest while listening to Vivaldi’s four seasons on my headphones, and to be fair I don’t care if I don’t catch anything.....oh and forgot to mention Jennifer Aniston putting my bait on.....as for what I might catch, probably crabs.........enjoy you weekend on the cut and stay safe ......I’ll send you all a post card........

I know that we have some weird people on this forum, but I am absolutely astounded by "bin's" comments. He says that his fantasy girl is Jennifer Aniston, when he could have had Vera Lynn. Unbelievable.

I see what your saying about Vera Lynn . But in our club you have to fish the peg you draw , and on that weekend Vera Lynn was fishing at Fladbury with my brother.....
