Our guys went down to Eckington the Wednesday before the match to clear the pegs and found a work party already getting stuck in. I know it seems that BAA Bashing is becoming the norm but we had a decent match and I want to thank the BAA for their efforts in preparing the stretch.

We all know the serious issues the BAA have had over the last few years and the result is that clubs have been turning up to totally unprepared venues but I believe the BAA are now determined to clear the pegs before club matches.

Eckington is a fabulous fishery with Big Bream when the conditions are right. My only whinge is that some of the grassy banks slope down and when wet are quite dangerous with 12 foot deep under your feet. What a tremendous fishery it could be with a dozen or so platforms.
