A great way to lose waters!

Today 15/08/19, I went fishing to Retreat Farm to fish the river.

I decided to go to the top of the stretch and fished the peg one down from the large fallen tree, which is in the water covering the next peg above..

When I got down onto the platform, there were two very fresh plastic bags (I would guess from yesterday 14/08 or at the most Tuesday 13/08) which obviously had been thrown by an ABSOLUTE TOSSER onto the nettles.

They were not even empty.

One contained a small amount of hempseed and the other a small amount of dead maggots.

Now if you are the TOSSER who left this rubbish behind, I will tell you that you can stop worrying about the crap you left behind, because I have taken it home and put it in my bin.

If you should be reading this post I will ask you a question!

Do TOSSERS like you who leave rubbish behind on the bank have any respect for anything?

I guess you and others don't realise that this is a surefire guaranteed way of pissing the farmers off and losing waters.

Whoever you are, why don't you treat our waters with the respect they deserve or better still resign your membership of the the BAA and leave it to those or do care about our sport and the countryside we visit.

Understand your anger Tracker - an ongoing problem which doesn't seem to get any better. Nature of the BAA is that it is a broad church attracting anglers from a variety of locations and backgrounds and angling unfortunately has always had a sizeable number of morons within its ranks. Witness the litter, poor fish welfare, casual shouting of obscenities across pegs, poaching, licence dodging, etc. Smaller clubs with higher fees and more extensive bailing can keep tighter control of their waters, but the BAA with its huge number of waters, cheap ticket and diverse catchment is always going to have problems. You get what you pay for. All we can do is make sure that the majority of responsible anglers, challenge misdemeanours and poor practice whenever we encounter them.

I agree Tracker it disgusts me the crap I have to clear up after people every time I’m out.Makes you wonder what these idiots houses look like.I just can’t understand why people can’t just put it in their bag and take it back with them,it’s lighter to carry it back! Not sure if it’s laziness or just a lack of respect,or both.

Sadly, even the provision of bins probably wouldn't help. Some people are just lowlife.

Good post Tracker

Sadly those people who left that can't read this because you used long words, some over five letters long!

They are thick and dirty and live in filth

Very sad this. Similarly, to the delightful person that saw fit to use Stacklands as a toilet last week, please don’t. In 35 years of fishing I’ve never needed to have a poo on the bank, I tend to use the loo before I go fishing for the day and wait until I get home. If you really think you can’t wait, take a spade with you and dig a hole rather than leaving shitty paper all over the bank. Cheers.

There are a lot of canoeists that use the bank at Stacklands so may not be fishermen. Last time I went a raft had moored on one of the groynes overnight

You are right lots of canoeists stop at Stacklands thanks to the Croys. However on this occasion the culprit was a fisherman. Seen by another angler.
