A message to the scumbag who, in the last 48 hours, fished the last peg in the first meadow at Arley Harbour, downstream of the footbridge. Today I collected all the bottles, carriers, paste and luncheon meat tins that you left behind and disposed of it - because you couldn't be bothered to. We cannot deny that our sport seems to attract a sizeable minority of morons who undermine the work of the majority and bring our sport into disrepute.

Re: Litter

found some at hampton loade the other week couple of empty tins of luncheon meat and beer cans as well as some mainline, it just seems to hard for some people to pick up there own rubbish, pretty disgusting that some anglers still do this

Re: Litter

Happens on every stretch of Severn and Teme I have visited! See also the Fishing Chat section for "Rubbish left on the bank" topic. Basically a problem we 'diligent' and thoughtful anglers will always be confronted with when fishing (no matter where you visit to be honest - even commercials!). It is an age old problem and I wish there was a solution to prevent it from happening but apart from clearing as much as you can from any peg you visit that has 'rubbish/litter' in it then it will be there for the next uncaring angler to add to. Hopefully a clean peg will be enough to stop someone else from depositing their litter but I doubt it?

Re: Litter

This problem is all over not just confined to BAA waters I fished Apley last weekend and there was a peg opposite on the golf course which clearly had discarded corn tins and food of some description, which a dog was eating much to the annoyance of the owner.
