It shouldn't need to be said, but unfortunately some need reminding. A recent walk along a river bank resulted in my dog first getting caught up in a whole load of fishing line that was left lying around. This line had a float attached and half the line had been coiled up, so maybe someone had a half ar**d effort at keeping it tidy but then left it on the bank anyway. A few minutes later, we noticed some line in her mouth - it was quickly realised this must have had a hook on the end of it. Stuck in her throat this could have easily ended her life. Luckily the vet managed to perform surgery and remove the hook and a foot of line from her oesophagus. She was lucky that she is domesticated with access to vets - wildlife doesn't have that luxury.
Please please, don't be lazy and make sure you take EVERYTHING away with you.

Re: Litter

Shocker. People can be lazy arseholes. Hopefully she'll recover quickly.

I'd like to think the average float angler (myself being one) being a more traditional type would also be more responsible of their surroundings. Clearly not.

Re: Litter

Sadly a problem in all walks of society and it's growing year on year.

Filthy lazy tramps leave litter, pick it up and take it home or find a bin, how hard can it be?
