I went on a mini pred lure session today at Marlcliff, I was totally shocked and stunned to see the below. This was after the weir, a couple of pegs down! The fence behind it was in tact and the path was too narrow to get down. The mind boggles

Re: Marlcliff

Always been the same there, the farmers fence makes it narrow, not really BAA fault. The access to the water is difficult, but it does add to the intrigue, not many want to venture there, only the brave need apply?

Spoke to the association and they said it is the land owners responsibility to move the car, but they did tell me that if enough people ring the EA then it's possible they may move it under the pollution act, the number is on the back of your licence, so if you all have time, please ring and lets get this eyesore shifted before season start.

Re: Marlcliff

I was down at Marcliff on Friday and the car is still in the peg , with the high river levels over back end of last week the car was submerged up to the windscreen. I have now spoken the EA and they assure me that this matter will now be sorted and the car removed.

They are sending officers down tomorrow to asses the situation, so hopefully this eyesore will soon be gone.

Dave.

Re: Marlcliff

After much badgering, the EA finally got the land owner's details and I'm pleased to say this eyesore has now been removed.
Fished the peg week last Friday and had a great time finishing with 7 barbel, 1 chub.
Tight line,
Dave
