Nafford above weir

Can anyone help with how you get to the stretch above the weir please, tried along bank but come to private gardens.
Also if anyone knows the way, where do you park and can a trolly be used.

It always used to be along the road Rick, park in car park, then walk along the road upstream to the bend, over a gate, then down the hill.

If you park in the BAA car park or in the layby opposite you need to walk along the road past the private properties which block access to the river, the road bends sharply to the right and on the left there's a gated track.

If memory serves, I climbed the gates and skirted the private land down to the river. There's a public footpath on the bend but I'm not sure about access from there.

Not easy even with just a lure rod and a net! Maybe I should have tried harder to open the gates, can't remember if they were locked or not.

You can park right on the bend if you fancy taking a look, enough space for one car.

Cheers both, sounds like a rod, bag and chair then.
Heard of some nice chub close in so its a toss up between a bucket of bread and a soft tip rod or maggot and stick rod.
