Hi all,
Just thinking about a walk along this stretch over Christmas to have a look at the river and maybe note a few pegs etc. I have never been along here before and the intention is to walk from Coomby's to the Harbour and back.
Is this possible or are there any spots where access is difficult or not allowed?
Thanks,
Colin.

Hi Colin - the river around Arley is very accessible and paths follow the river on both sides. Parking is good in Arley on either side of the river. A really nice walk, with lots of great pegs to explore, is to walk upstream from Arley to the Severn Valley Country Park / Alveley, where there is a pedestrian footbridge, where you can cross the river and walk back downstream to Arley, then cross back over via the footbridge at Arley. Round trip is about 7 miles, about 2.5 hours, or a lot longer if you stop off at the Ship Inn for a beer at Highley.

Hi Mick,
Thanks for the info, that sounds like a good route and a stop at the pub will be a good chance to rest a while. I am intending to fish the Severn a lot next year, I used to fish Bridgnorth way back in the 70's - 80's but haven't done so for many years. Upper Severn to Bewdley will be my area of interest, so plenty to go at smiling
Colin.
