Gave it a try today as it's nearby, fished downstream of the bridge. Obviously water is low at the moment, 2 to 3 feet deep max with many shallow runs. Fished 4 different pegs, had small roach, chub, an eel and a trout, the trout being the biggest at about 8oz. Also a few minnows but not enough to be a pain considering I used maggots.

Re: River Alne... new BAA water. That looks a nice place to fish ......I used to fish this river upstream from there about half a mile I guess by wootten hall ....never caught any big fish but always had plenty of mixed sport ......chub ,roach, dace, perch, even trout....I think my biggest was no more than a pound but like I said plenty of em.......I don’t think I can go to this new stretch,I’ve been told my van is too big to park......maybe I’ll get someone to take me in a smaller vehicle.......
