Re: TrimpleySevern Trent have fenced it of and closed the river bank for flood defense work . Removing trees and reinforcing the river bank ? Some one posted it on face book .

Re: TrimpleyI talked to one of the engineers on the project back in July. He said the EA/Severn Trent were worried that the Severn would erode the foundations of the reservoirs. Hence reinforcing the banks with 23,000 tons of rock. Of course, planting trees would have been a much better solution ... No mention of how this would affect access to the actual river in the future
