Lets have a bit of fun.
As a new member of the BAA I've only managed to fish a couple of venues so far this year, Although many years ago I fished a few of their river and canals venues through club matches.
So, for all those members who get out and about a lot I'm going to ask you one question..........

If you could only fish ONE venue for the rest of your life which one would it be, and why?

Good luck

Fladbury on the Avon, it's only 20 minutes away. Failing that a canal.

Got to be Arley Left Bank on the Severn for lots of different swim choices. Can get busy in the Summer, but walk far enough upstream from the car park and you'll be away from the crowds. Area opposite Borle Brook is my favourite.

Pershore right bank is my favourite Winter choice when temperatures and river levels are both up. Had a few decent barbs here.

For me the BAA water at Bushley on the Lower Severn . Had some big Barbel out of there over the years . Thankfully it don't get hammered due to the long walk to get to the river .

Has to be the Severn on a swim between Knowle and Trimpley chasing big roach. Which one? All of them smiling

When it's quiet down there it really is a beautiful river and the fishing ain't bad either

It's got to be Nafford.
I've fished this about 16 times this season, and loved every minute of it.
My first session saw 18.5lbs in the bag, followed by 16lb on the second, and then several more double figure bags. These catches were all in a 5 or 6 hour session.
Mostly roach and skimmers, caught on mainly hemp and tares, with the odd bit of sweetcorn thrown in. All on the float (crow quill avon) which is my absolute favourite method of fishing.

So if anybody sees some old fella fishing the "mickey mouse" it's probably me.

Re: Whats your favourite?

where about did you park ? it is a long walk but you was in the right place opposite the golf coarse.
there are a few trees on our side where the cattle drink from. anywhere there good for bream and odd tench. its around 14ft deep. opp woods (chadbury ) its even deeper. 18ft but iv not done so good there. i park at end of sidings lane and walk pass tennis court . left at gate and follow to next field. this is number 10 in where to fish booklet
worth a go after the river drops . used red worm and maggot.

Arley Left bank above what was the Island, wade out and trot down the middle . Always first day of the season , Had chub to 5lbs, and marble to 8lb , all on the float. No ledgering for me. If you can get wasp grub and know how to make the ground bait , had mega bags of chub . Happy days
