Where will you be heading tomorrow?

I am, like every angler in England is bound to be, happy that we can start our angling exploits again tomorrow. So I'll be the first one to ask the question.

If you are able to, where are you planning to wet a line tomorrow?

I can't get out tomorrow, but I'm planning to get out on Thursday or Friday. I can't decide between perch/chub fishing on the Staffs-Worcs or cycling over to Retreat Farm and having a day tench fishing.

The canal will probably be quieter than retreat, will be interesting to see how the canal performs with this clear water at the moment, but I guess the boats will start moving again now, canal for me somewhere doesn't it feel like June 16!!!!!

Yes i'm afraid so. All of our waters above Underdale remain closed thanks to the Welsh Assembly.

Stacklands is fine. I’ll see you there. The gate remains locked however.

It's the canals for me - going to try and few old favourite spots on the B'ham-Worcs where I used to catch lots of carp. Been a few years since I last fished for the carp, but hope there are a few still around. No boilies or bite alarms, nothing complicated - loaf of bread, carp rod with float set up and a bit of ground bait or liquidised bread. Most fish I used to catch were in the 5lb - 10lb range, not monsters, but great sport and if you landed half a dozen in a session you would end up with something approaching 50lb of canal fish. Don't care if I don't catch tomorrow - being there will be enough.

Re: Where will you be heading tomorrow?

Got out on the Staffs-Worcs for a few hours this afternoon with the lure rod hoping for some perch.
Didn't get any stripeys but did land a jack pike of about 9 inches on the bend near Bridge 7. Not what I was expecting, but just happy to be on the bank again.

Oh, also bumped into a BAA bailiff as well, for the first time ever.
