Winter float fishing

Hi Guys - would appreciate some advice / information. Most of my river fishing is trotting a s tick float for 'anything with fins'. This is fine in summer and I usually wade and fish fast shallow swims. Winter float fishing presents a different set of challenges and I usually concentrate on the deeper sections around and below Stourport. This winter I want to try and fish the float on the middle Severn between Bridgnorth and Bewdley, when the river is just carrying a foot or two of extra water, but winter pegs are very different to summer ones, so my question is, can anyone recommend any areas / BAA sections in middle Severn that lend themselves to winter trotting? I have seen a few good looking pegs at the Danery, but would be fishing blind as I have only ever fished the feeder there. Any information on winter float fishing would be very helpful. Happy New Year to you all.
