Do we have to go through the gate at the end of the lane to get to our car park?
And is there a pad lock on it? Just googled street viewed it and I can’t see any yellow signs anywhere
Thanks

Drive to the end of the tarmac road. Through the gate straight in front of you onto the grass track, (closing the gate behind you) note no padlock & chain. Drive down grass track to parking area at bottom. The track is a bit rutted near the bottom so take care of front valance.
No access into the field for BAA vehicles so you have to walk to the river passing through a pedestrian gate.
It’s a long walk but worth it for Pike, Zander & Bream.

Have a good session.

Re: Wood end, river Avon

I go down that way a bit in winter (well not much anymore, the last 2 have been a wash out). I've fished wood end once, never saw a fish or had a bite. I've never blanked at mythe farm or Bredon though. Plenty of roach and dace, I've had a few 20+ pike and 10+ zander. Bream can be plentiful if you drop on them. Thats not to say wood end is no good. Probably more a reflection of me as an angler. I think it's quieter though, which is a bonus for a bit of peace. Lots of public at the other 2 venues.
