1st - Andrew Wedgbrow 14oz

Mainly small perch and roach, Ian Stanley lost fish to pike. River clear and normal level.

Just surprised as fished the adjacent Wood End stretch not long ago and there was plenty of small fish about.

With the rivers cleaner than they have ever been, when it is really clear it can be very tough going.
Two years ago we went to Breden when the river was very low and clear.
When we got there, out of those already fishing, only one had caught a fish, a small perch!
At the end of the day, that perch was still the only fish caught.
Been back since with a bit of colour in the water and bagged-up.
There are tons of fish in the rivers it's just that at times they won't feed.
Last year three of us fished above the weir at Pershore!
One never had a bite, one had one small perch and the other had 19lbs 10oz.
Try and explain that!
