The venue fished a lot harder than usual, with only about a dozen boats through during the match. Skimmers were the mainstay of the leading weights with perch and a few roach making up the rest.

1st Garry Mason 5 - 8 - 0

2nd Martyn Knight 4 - 14 - 0

3rd Lawrie Mulheron 4 - 9 - 0

4th Pete Sanford 4 - 5 - 8

Hi Ollie,
Thanks for posting your match catches from the Hinksford stretch of the Staffs / Worcs canal.

Good to see those weights reported.

I know that I sound like a broken record but what methods and bait caught the fish?

Just to give a helping hand to any of us pleasure anglers an opportunity to avoid a blank session

Thank again Oliie

Keep on Fishing

All the anglers pole fished. Worm, caster, maggot and pinkie were the most used, with a few small roach on breadpunch.

Hi Ollie,

Cheers for the update on how your club tackled this venue it just might help some of us catch more fish or a fish in my case, after blanking at Astwood the other week.

Keep on Fishing
