Me and Melvin, of Bostin Angling, had a session over at Nordley that produced a couple carp. We are all relatively new to BAA and are still learning, that is why we keep vlog blog from our travels. I've included screen grab of the 8lb Carp, but if anyone cares to see our video log the link to YouTube vid is http://youtu.be/YnhQ867p1To If you are interested? You can find Bostin Angling on Facebook and Instagram @BostinAngling

Question...

Is there any Pike in the pools at Nordley? I ask because I had a Perch that looked like it had predatory damage, possibly from a Pike, or may have been mink...

Worro James.

There are Mink for sure at Nordley. I watched one ferreting about a couple of months ago when fishing the top end of Pool 2.
As for pike? Many fish can be seen in the clear water there, including bream cruising about just under the surface near the weed beds, but I've never seen a pike lying in wait in any of the pools.

Re: Bostin at Nordley

Not fished Nordley enough to know what could be in them.

Nathan from Bostin Angling dropshot and spinner fished Pool 1 to 4, peg to peg, on one session a few weeks back for Perch. He had a couple interesting follows from big Perch, but nothing from Pike. I think we have 3 videos from Nordley now. I lost a Perch 3lb+ at a guess in pool 1, it pulled line from Freespool set at 2lb, unfortunately camera only recorded take and sunglare prevented it seeing fish before it shook the hook. I guess I won't be taking any Pike gear just yet then, I guess if one ever shows to Nathan's wanderings you will all find out.

I'll put the Perch damage down to Mink

Regards

James

Hello James and Melvin,

If Pike are your quarry then you will fill your nets all along the BAA Waters on the Avon!
I had one hanging on to my keep-net at Wasperton recently.

Let us know how you get on

Keep on Fishing

Thanks for the heads up, we not ventured that far from our area yet, due to the ongoing climate. We want to head to Avon, Teme and a couple of canal stretches further a field at some point. I have an itch to try Bala lake out, but everything is on hold.

We fish for all sorts, between the four of us (Me, Melv, Nath and Rich) involved with the blog vlog Bostin Angling. We do try to target fish, which is behind the idea of the open and end frames in our YouTube videos. A lot of our early published fishing was Pike, due to mainly the group starting the social media thing in Pike seasons, so our logo and early video frames is purely circumstance to that. That is, if you checked us out and noticed
