Re: Fladbury Barbel

Your expression says it all Johnny.....it's a cracker. Well done. Fished Fladbury last Friday, 2 or 3 pegs down from the mill stream outlet but only had one small barbel about 3 to 4lb, and lost another, presumed a barbel. Fished meat and halibut pellet but hardly a touch all day. Tried trotting a float with meat, only to have it grabbed by a fair sized pike when reeling in which then had the cheek to take another swipe and had my float as well. There's no justice.

I was also there on Friday, a few hours up until dark. No barbel for me that time though, but I also had a pike on the meat, about 7lb or so, and lost a couple of chub. the river had dropped 12 inches from Wednesday, and much of the colour had gone.

Well done, cracking fish.

From some of your comments you've had a hard season up to now so you deserve that one. Hopefully it will herald a change of luck and you will make out like a bandit for the rest of the season.
