Worro yoh lot.

Sorry but Carlingford59 asked me in person at the Lock Inn after the match last Saturday to carry on posting fishy photos, and seeing as he's the Gaffa, I daren't disappoint him.

Went back to Wolverley (Staffs/Worcs section 19-20) this afternoon hoping that today's bleak and dreary weather would keep the Fair Weather Boaters away, which turned out to be true.

I fished what was Peg 10 in our match last week, between 1 & 6 pm.

Only saw one boat and could have caught Razor Roach and Hybrids all afternoon but I only managed to latch onto a few coz I was sticking to fishing double maggot on a size 14 hook in case any big Perch or Chub came along, which they did.

I only had the one Perch, but at 1lb 10oz a pleasure to do battle with on light pole tackle and at 2lb 12oz the Chub was a relative tiddler in comparison to the one's I'd caught there before, but what a battle I had to get it to the net in what is now warmer water (11.6*C today).

Yet again, with no match on, I was the only angler on the section. Its the same on most sections of the Staffs/ Worcs and the fishing is good. I'm going to start calling myself The Lone D'Angler.

Hi the Lone D’angler,

Thanks for this update on the Lock Inn section and the photo of your and as the late great Bobby Ball would have said a “Crackka-Lackin Catch”

Keep on Fishing….

Hi Reg

Out of the last 6 sessions that I've had down there, I've caught Chub on four of them, only the one per session mind you, but I have ALWAYS had decent Perch. The smallest were ironically on the day of our match.

Keep fishingsmiling
