Re: river tench

I have caught many at Pershore LB just where the river splits before the lock. I use either sweetcorn or worm in the margins. I've also caught on meat in the same spot when fishing for Barbel.
If you live close to Tamworth try the river Anker and the Fazeley canal. Often catch in both venues.

Re: BAA Canals

The Fazeley canal has everything, roach, bream, pike, perch and some very large carp. I have caught perch to 2lbs and carp to 10lbs, but have seen larger.
I always use worm or bread, I find if I use maggots I catch lots of small fry.
Try the section by the Marston Farm Hotel, the bailiff there is very a very friendly and helpful guy.
Its me. Tight lines.

Re: mease

Good afternoon Joe,
The Mease is a roving river and best fished in the winter, during the summer the river is very shallow and the banks overgrown. Harlaston is a better and more accessible venue.
I fish this stretch of river regularly this time of year and always catch, mainly perch, chub and trout.
The river also contains pike, some large ones for a tiny river. I use larger baits, worms, bread flake etc. I live in Four Oaks, Harlaston is about 20 minutes drive and usually I fish there for 2-3 hours.
I am a bailiff For the BAA and would be happy to meet you at the venue and show you the pegs.
Please send your details to John Williams at BAA head office (reference; Joe fishing Harlaston)
I will then make contact.
Kind regards, Peter

Re: River Teme pike

I fish most of the BAA water on the Teme for Salmon. I don't catch many Salmon but I do catch many Mike. I usually use a flying "C" lure or a floating Rapala lure. I only carry a small bag, net and one rod, this enables me to walk a good distance and fish any available pegs.
Tight lines for the new year.

Re: Found - landing net at Holt Fleet 4th May

Collected, thank you.
Do you know who had the Salmon today.
Thanks again.
