Re: Stacklands river levels

Don’t know why I didn’t think of that Meatman!
I look at Eckington bridge often enough…
River level 2.5m on your screenshot, it’s now under 2m so hopefully on its way down.
I suppose it goes up and down a lot quicker than the Avon, so when I go I’ll try to remember to check Hereford bridge webcam then I’ll have a reference point.
Thanks for your replies guys

Re: Stacklands river levels

Hi Robhol1,
Looked this morning and river levels show 2.63m so assume Stacklands is unfishable.
I think I read a post using the forum search saying “go if the rivers falling” but without knowing what 2.63m looks like will take your advice and wait a while
Thanks

Stacklands river levels

Now we’ve had a drop of rain! And the canoes have mostly been put away, I’m hopeful to have my 1st visit to Stacklands before Christmas and was wondering if anyone knows what fishable river levels I should be looking out for and what monitoring station?
Any help advice appreciated
Thanks
Roger

Re: A little help please ladies and gents

Hi Neil,

I thought about joining smiths too

Used to fish above weir when it was Cheltenham waters, looks really nice! But a long trek from the baa side. Think smiths got a car park that side but £100 first year for new members with little river to fish thought better of it!

Not sure if it allows fishing the small weir or run off though,
