Re: Pershore, screwed?

https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/climate-change/causes-of-climate-change

Heres what the met office says about global warming ?

Are humans responsible for climate change?
When looking at all the evidence, there is a large scientific consensus that humans are the leading cause of climate change. In their latest report, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change stated unequivocally that human activity is the cause of global warming.
Natural climate cycles can change the temperature of Earth, but the changes we are seeing are happening at a scale and speed that natural cycles cannot explain. These cycles affect the global temperature for years, or sometimes just months, not the 100 years that we have observed. Meanwhile, longer-term changes like Milankovitch cycles and solar irradiance take thousands and thousands of years.
[b]There are lots of things that affect climate change, but the evidence is irrefutable. Human activity, such as burning fossil fuels and changing how we use the land, is the leading cause of climate change.

Re: Pershore, screwed?

In case any one has failed to notice ? A amber warning has been issued for extreme heat until Tuesday ? People are being evacuated across Europe because of wild fires. Global warming will screw us all if some thing is not done and done soon.So some one moans about a turbine that creats green energy ? Perhaps when people relise that global warming is here and in years to come we will all be screwed

One final point, Most of the Wye has been closed down for fishing, Due to lack of rain and low levels. So thats one river that has been screwed due to mans behaviour

Re: Some Good Fish being caught in the first month of the new River Season

Each to there own way of fishing, If memory serves me right, Des Taylor was all in favour of doing away with the close season and wanted it abolished ? So hardley the right person to choose when it comes to fish welfare sad

Re: Some Good Fish being caught in the first month of the new River Season

I see some good barbel being caught from the W/Avon reported on the Facebook pages.
A barbel of just over 12 lbs caught from Fladbury weir. Some body once said. '' That fishing in weirs is like fishing in a oxygen bath ''

So good news to see they are still being caught smiling
