Re: Birmingham Worcs CanalMeatman, that is exactly how i have caught on the stoke stretch, using a large bread band, having it dangle over the reeds also allows you to control depth if your bread eventually sinks. However doesn't feel the best 'bullying' them out of the reeds when you catch.

Birmingham Worcs CanalYesterday I walked all the way from Blackpole to Stoke Prior. The stretch from Tibberton to Hanbury wharf, well what a lovely stretch it is. I am on a mission to find some canal carp and I am not fussed about size i just like the thought of finding wild ones. I have been told that their is a few sightings by the Eagle and Sun and that is the same stretch that goes for miles backs tibberton.
