Eckington Stone Bridge Section

I had a pleasant walk around the River Avon at Eckington this morning. I was very disappointed to see that the BAA section from Stone Bridge towards Birlingham was overgrown and neglected.
I can accept that summer is growing season but there was no chance of accessing hardly any pegs which also appeared to have no wooden platforms.
For a club the size of BAA and as a paid up member, I find this is very poor. Is it a question of having too much water to maintain or the fact that it is so far south of Birmingham, nobody can maintain it.
The other side of the bridge is owned by Eckington AC, a much smaller club, was well presented with clearly defined and maintained pegs with wooden platforms.
Is there any plans to look at improving this section?

River Severn - Mythe Bridge

Whilst walking the Severn Way downstream from Mythe Bridge opposite the water works, I noticed a BAA sign but only a few pegs available for fishing at each end of the meadow by the bridge and by entrance road to Tewkesbury Lock.
As this stretch doesn’t feature on the website nor in the handbook, do I assume that this is no longer a BAA water?

Re: Apperley Pools

Hello,

Caught about a dozen perch on maggot. Not a touch on pellet or corn. My mate had a tench and some roach but bites were hard to come by. We packed in after 3 hours as it was getting too hot.
A couple of other anglers too seemed to be struggling. They were also surprised that only one pool available as the other one is inaccessible.
Didn’t see any signs of the otter, but that would explain why it’s so hard to fish.
Will be a while before I fish there again if ever. Uckinghall much better at the moment it seems.
