Can you park on the bank here as it’s not clear in guide book?

Re: Stacklands

A mate an I fished Stacklands last week. Due to breaking my ankle on opening day on another BAA water I had to fish the croft. Have had Chub from there in the past but not a knock all day for either of us. lots of silvers (some big) jumping so might take the fly rod next time.
There were a few canoes but whoever is hiring them out has clearly told them to pass anglers as close to the opposite bank as possible as all did this without fail.
its a lovely setting but was surprised not to see a kingfisher as on all previous visits i have.

Re: Severn Barbel

For my tuppence worth, I think Barbel have wised up to static baits. I know a few anglers who trot for them and rarely blank. I keep meaning to give it a go as I think I might be pleasantly surprised (and won't need to carry two tonnes of feeders, leads and pellets.) I also think we might be missing a trick on the tidal as I've had barbel as small as 8oz in there - access and safety on the banks is a nightmare though!!

Re: Kurum River Tripod

if buying on line ensure you get the double pronged back leg not the original Mark 1 single prong

Re: Re: River venues car access

re Stacklands - the farmer has an issue because anglers have left the gate open, attempted night fishing and various other things to annoy him. Not all by BAA members but he feels BAA don't control it properly.
he seems a very reasonably man when spoken to in the right way.
I imagine issues with farmers re access is generally down to a minority of anglers annoying and disrespecting them.
