Re: Uckinghall - where have all the Zeds gone?

Fished it 4 times so far over the winter with both lures and dead baits. Not had a single touch on the deads from either pike or zander or even eels. Had 3 small Jack's to about 5lb on lures and that's it. It probably does need to work up a little for the Zeds to start actively hunting again so maybe in a few months trying again

Re: Favourite Lures,plugs and spinners

conditions play a big part on the day for lure choice so simple rule is if its a bright day fish dark and if its overcast fish slightly brighter but again water condition and clarity play a factor into this. lure wise fox shads 11cm and upwards and slick shads are bang on and if you loose them you only loose a few ££ and not £10-£15 for hard baits. savage gear cannibal shads are always a good shout for a tough day and Z-man diesel minnows always good for me. have a look at rigging them weedless style or on a cheb rig that will save you some gear fishing in snaggy and weedy areas. best of luck

uckinghall fishing/ parking

hi guys
new to the BAA and was looking at fishing uckinghall for the predators. does the pool and parking get affected by any flood water as i understand from the maps it right by the Severn.
is there one end deeper than the other etc any information on the pool would be great as its a 120mile round trip for me and looking to go early next week. Thanks guys
