Re: How to use BAA maps & anyone got the what3words for both ends of Hampton Loade 'B' please?

I use google maps on my phone to find all the waters if you look at the baa map then find the location on google maps on you phone once you know where the car park is you can pin drop it by holding your finger on the screen this then becomes your destination point and google maps will take you straight to it. Works for me anyhow

Re: Trent & Mersey Canal - Fradley

Hi pal Walsall and district own the fishing rights from about 400 yds bellow wood end lock where the culvert goes under the canal. They own the fishing rights all the way till the Crown pub at Armitage Handsacre.

It was electro fished over a year ago and they only removed 3 zander from Fradley junction all the way up to Handsacre, so they concluded the zander had not spread in any numbers from the coventry canal up above Fradley junction. I have a copy of the report.

As said it can get very busy with boats at times which can be a nightmare. These areas are very popular with lure anglers as there are some amazing perch to be caught. Also large shoals of bream and chub along those sections. I have not fished the Baa section for a few years now but it used to fish really well on evening sessions.

Take a look at our facebook page Walsall and district and you will see some of the fish caught by a local angler around that area.

all the best Dave

Re: Where's the link to BAA affiliated clubs open to new members please?

Hi Monk there used to be a list of club names but I have not seen that for a long time now. Best thing to do which I did a while back was put a request for clubs on the match results page and wait and see who responds. A lot of clubs will have booked there matches for this coming year so might not have availability.

I joined a great friendly little club last year Walsall and District A.S. we fish 4 rivers 3 canals and 3 pools but we are now full for this year but will take on a 2-3 more members next year. If you are interested pal or want anymore information please follow our page on face book and get in touch. The club also owns 4 miles of canal just outside Litchfield. Kings Bromley Handsacre area on the Trent and Mersey canal with some great fishing

All the best Dave

Re: Severn Stoke

Hi Dave as advised I would give it a week or so.

One of our club members fishes it quite often and fished it last Friday and really struggled think he said he packed up after a couple of hours after only catching one perch.

Up till Christmas its been fishing exceptionally well though pal and hes been catching double figure bags of Roach perch dace and skimmers with the odd chub as well. He starts on the feeder for the first hour or two while feeding the inside float line.

As for pegs he goes to the right when looking at the river, upstream if my memory serves me correct. Just find a peg thats comfortable to fish and keep the bait going in steady as long as the bait keeps going in it will pull the fish into the peg.

If your on facebook Dave have a look at our page walsall and district angling society I posted a picture from Severn stoke end of november of one of his catches. If you want exact pegs or anymore info drop me a message on the page and ill ask Dean for you. All the best tight line
